Before using your location

After browser permission, WorldSeed rounds your position to six decimals and immediately grows a live world around it.

Providers and the site host can still receive normal network metadata such as your IP address.

Choose what the link reveals

An exact seed link includes — in its URL. It may be retained in browser history, messages, and hosting logs.

WorldSeed no longer adds coordinates to the address bar automatically.
EXPORT PRIVACY

The privacy-safe default removes the exact origin from file metadata.

Removing metadata does not anonymize recognizable streets or buildings. Treat the geometry itself as potentially identifying.

Live requests

Overpass receives the selected center and radius. Overture and Mapzen terrain tile requests on Amazon S3 identify the selected area. Those providers and the site host may process IP addresses and other standard request metadata.

On this device

World responses are cached in IndexedDB for up to 7 days. The offline app shell is stored separately without coordinate query strings. Selected PLATEAU CityGML files are parsed in memory, are not uploaded, and are not added to that cache.

WorldSeed itself

This client app adds no user account, analytics tracker, advertising SDK, or WorldSeed backend database. Browser and hosting behavior is governed by their own policies.

Sharing & exports

Coordinates enter a URL only when you choose “exact seed link.” Exports omit the origin by default, but recognizable geometry can still reveal a place.
